Saint-Nicolas waterfall
01/08/2021
Walk along the waterfallWe continue our tour of the region's waterfalls with a rather special waterfall this time.
The walk begins with a passage in front of an old chapel, destroyed and relocated in 1957 due to dynamite work, and which resurfaced in 2011 thanks to extensive research on old plans, postcards and photos.
The descent along the waterfall is steep, but very well laid out.
We walk along the side of the mountain and arrive at a bridge that allows us to cross.
As I said earlier in this article, this waterfall is special.
Unlike the Heidenbad waterfall or the Bockloch waterfall, which are relatively high, the Saint-Nicolas waterfall is not.
Here, you walk along the river as it falls over various waterfalls.
For the brave, you can try the footbath. But be careful not to slip, the water is cold!
You can then continue walking and follow the waterfall further.
We preferred to retrace our steps in order to get to know other landscapes more quickly.
In conclusion, the soft music of this waterfall brings you a maximum of relaxation and transforms the forest into a magical place.
