Choice of location
29/07/2023
Keep your eyes peeled! You've just passed the search and now have access to the campsite? Congratulations!
If you haven't yet been informed of the location of your walkway, contact the person responsible for your plot. He'll tell you where you can pitch your tent and get settled. Before unfolding your tent, I strongly advise you to take a few seconds to choose the right spot. Don't get ahead of yourself.
In short, try to find a place that will be "quiet" so you can rest when you need to, because you'll really need to. I use quotation marks because the notion of tranquility is really relative, as you'll soon see. Nevertheless, to be a warrior you need to be physically fit, and you need to rest well.
Away from the main road
Obviously, the closer you set up to the festival, the less walking you'll have to do. But don't make the mistake of setting up along a main road. It will be very busy. You're bound to be bothered by the comings and goings of festival-goers, both day and night.
Away from the thicket
Another tip: don't set up too close to trees or thickets either. Why not? Because they tend to become makeshift toilets for the laziest. I'm not going to draw you a picture. It's double or nothing. And then there's the smell...
Away from the toilets
Speaking of toilets, keep your eyes peeled for bathroom fixtures, and avoid leaning against them. This will be a very busy place over the weekend, for emptying, brushing your teeth and showering. Here again, activity and odors can easily disturb your sleep, or clearly spoil your experience. At best, you'll be intoxicated by the shower gels, at worst... I don't need to draw you a picture here either. In short, stay away if you can.
