A dive to the centre of the earth. Before continuing reading, I strongly invite you to read the article on the Lassíthi plateau to understand how we arrived at the entrance to this cave.
There is an entrance fee. At the time of our visit the price was 6€.
Time to acclimatize to the darkness, and we discover the extent of the cave, which seems to descend without end.
This cave, considered to be the birthplace of Zeus, no less.
It is very well laid out and above all very well highlighted thanks to the various intelligently placed lights.
Is it really worth mentioning once again that one feels very small in this kind of place?
Time and water erosion have patiently sculpted each piece of rock.
All these stalactites are as captivating as they are frightening.
To conclude, this change of universe has once again bewitched us. Time seems to have stopped in this kind of place.
Note that if you like caves, I invite you to discover the Skotino cave.
